A Tender Pop Glow: The Feather’s “Two” Expands the “BB” Universe

The Feather is back with "Two", a warm, soft-focus pop moment that blends 2010s bedroom calm with a nostalgic 80s glow.

The Feather‘s latest, “Two“, slipped in like gentle, familiar, and somehow already part of your day.

What struck me first about “Two” was its warmth: that blend of 2010s bedroom softness with those bright 80s pop fingerprints, the kind that instantly colours a room. Thomas Medard’s voice sits so naturally in the mix — friendly and unforced — while the guitar lines glow around the edges like tiny light leaks in an old photo. It carries the same delicate heart that shaped “BB”, but there’s a slightly dreamier tilt here, a light haze that feels close enough to touch.

Knowing this song was born during the “BB” sessions makes sense — it shares that intimate, handcrafted spirit — yet it stands on its own thanks to Thomas taking the production and mixing into his own hands. The drums from Thomas Hedlund (Phoenix) move with that easy confidence that lets the song drift without losing its footing. And then there’s that chorus, which Thomas himself said echoes the vocal lines of the Phil Collins songs he grew up with. You can really hear it: that unmistakable lift that feels like a quiet throwback to a living room stereo, parents humming along, childhood memories sneaking in at the edges.

Two” hits right in the soft lyricall centre: a relationship held close, a kind of love that steadies you even when everything else shakes. “Baby hold me when I fall / If I look down I won’t come back” — it’s simple, but it lands. The whole track moves like a hand reaching out in the dark, comforting without pretending to fix anything. There’s honey in its tone, a touch of psychedelic shimmer, and a cozy ease that makes it one of those songs you play twice before realising you’ve looped it five times. A beautiful first taste of what’s coming with “BB DX” in 2026.

About The Feather:

The Feather, led by Thomas Medard, stepped into 2025 with a renewed sense of closeness. “BB” already showed how deeply he leans into themes of family, fatherhood, and love, and its creation across Liège, Barcelona, Madrid, and Los Angeles gave the project its gentle openness. Collaborations with Chris Taylor, Kyle Crane, Thomas Hedlund, and Grammy-winner Joe Laporta shaped the album, while Thomas’ visual sensibility brought its glitch-kitsch look to life. Now signed to PolyMoon and fresh from a strong European tour, The Feather continues expanding that universe, with “Two” as a soft promise of the next chapter.
