There’s something about songs that feel like a cocktail at 4 PM on a Friday—“Širdie” is exactly that. It’s fizzy, full of colour, and entirely unbothered by your weekday worries. Superkoloritas, the genre-melting Lithuanian duo we didn’t know we desperately needed, just dropped the first single off their upcoming EP “Ritmo!”, and we’re already on our second listen with our imaginary sunglasses on.
“Širdie” (which translates to Oh, Heart) is a sun-drenched mix of disco, Afrobeat, and a hefty splash of tropical sass. It’s bold in the best way: the percussion pops like champagne bubbles, the bassline sways with a knowing smirk, and both Giedrė and Adomas sound like they’re winking at you through a heat haze. It’s groovier, looser, and somehow even more heart-led than their previous releases. “Are you putting your heart into everything you do?” they ask. With this track, the answer feels like an obvious yes.
The best part? It doesn’t take itself too seriously. This is music made for movement—raw and impulsive. That energy carries over to the video too, where four international dancers were thrown into the beat with zero prep, just instinct. It shows. It works. It’s messy in the best possible way—like dancing on a terrace with strangers and not giving a damn if it rains.
About Superkoloritas:
As for Superkoloritas themselves, they’re a technicolour duo from the Lithuanian coast, mixing the glitter of 60s–80s Baltic pop with a love for surf, Latin tropicalia, and a bit of Italo disco sheen. Giedrė handles vocals, electric guitar, and synths, while Adomas brings in vocals, saxophone, percussion, and the kind of playful weirdness that glues the whole thing together.
