His experience and collaborations have clearly influenced his unique sound, blending diverse influences into his music.

Prayer Cards” opens with a lovely poem-like quality that sets a contemplative tone. The song unfolds with an energy that feels both grounded and uplifting. The alt-pop elements woven throughout give the track a fresh and dynamic feel, making it stand out in today’s indie music landscape. The chorus is particularly striking, creating a cool and memorable hook that resonates long after the song ends.
Recorded and developed with the help of some of Christian’s favorite people, “Prayer Cards” shines with the combined talents of Julian Easterlin on vocals, Sarah Goldstone on synths, and Jason Burger on drums and percussion. The home-recorded track was brought to life with the visual artistry of Mel, and the mixing and mastering talents of Collin and Bijan. Gabe’s vocal recording at Four Foot adds a polished finish to Christian’s heartfelt performance.

As the last of three songs on an upcoming EP set for release next month, “Prayer Cards” stands as a testament to the resilience and creativity of Trivial Shields. Christian’s journey through writer’s block to the completion of this song is an inspiring story of artistic dedication.
