Hidden Orchestra brings “Scatter”

While preparing the next album's release, Hidden Orchestra has a nice flute-driven downtempo gift for us!

Hidden Orchestra, the brainchild of multi-talented musician Joe Acheson, is a solo studio project known for its fusion of classical and electronic elements. Acheson collaborates with a diverse range of guest musicians to create albums and live performances that blend acoustic instruments, drums, field recordings, and natural sounds. Their captivating live shows feature a core quartet band, including dual drum kits, piano, violin, bass, and electronics. The “Dawn Chorus” album, centred around collected birdsong and field recordings, continues the project’s evolution from the “Night Walks” debut to the acclaimed “Archipelago“, showcasing their versatile style that combines intricate simplicity with energy and emotion.

Teasing their upcoming September album (“To Dream Is To Forget“), Joe Acheson’s Hidden Orchestra unveils a preview through the new single “Scatter“, released on Lone Figures. A testament to Acheson’s ability to craft intricate yet expansive sonic realms, the track seamlessly melds genres like hip-hop, breaks, jazz, modern classical, and electronica, showcasing his meticulous attention to detail and adventurous sonic exploration. The single, led by a commanding bass and dynamic drum patterns, intertwines with a persistent piano motif, evolving through nuanced soundscapes to an intense climax after an ominous breakdown.
