Smooth, sexy and melodic, it is how SHAZ sounds on the first, second and third listen. And that’s how she continues to sound as we listen to her latest track “Come on Over” more and more. Gentle Pop we might call it, or serious Pop if we prefer to focus on the way she focuses on the lyrics to pass the message while still grooving on the enticing and sensual vocals.
“Come on Over” is the second track from Shaz‘s debut EP, “Inside Out“, which was released at the end of last year. Initially crafted in 2019 through a collaboration with the talented UK-based Lo-Fi artist, Pointy Features, this song carries the essence of a relaxed-pop guitar reminiscent of a John Mayer introduction. Shaz’s groovy vocals find a compelling corollary in the repetition of the lyrics, which draw inspiration from a ’76 red Cadillac, the allure of good weed, and the legendary tale of Bonnie & Clyde. The instrumental arrangement maintains a funky and constant groove that feels infinite, creating an irresistible blend of musical elements. With its infectious rhythm and catchy melodies, “Come on Over” undeniably stands out as a bop that showcases Shaz’s distinctive style and musical prowess.

More on SHAZ:
SHAZ is an emerging singer-songwriter hailing from Austin, Texas, who is gearing up to release her highly anticipated debut EP in December 2022. Growing up in South Florida, she was surrounded by the timeless sounds of Nat King Cole, Etta James, and Nancy Sinatra, which played a significant role in shaping her musical influences. Starting her classical piano training at the young age of 5, music became a vital part of her life, even though it often took a backseat to societal expectations of traditional education and career paths. However, everything changed when SHAZ made the transformative decision to relocate to Austin, where she fully embraced the belief in living authentically from the Inside, Out.
