keatsu – Clown

A catchy and serious exploration of humour as a means of defence and liberation.

Making funny faces! You know I’m just joking, they are trying to chase me away“.

Clown” is the name of the latest track by keatsu, and one of those naturally catchy songs that we can’t quite locate in terms of music genre and feeling. But we can try. Well, it’s goofy but serious, it delves into complex topics with incredible lightness and embraces that kind of humour and comedy that as a coping mechanism can both push people away and bring them together. In this case, we are sure it will only do the latter.

The music video features keatsu throwing a tomato at himself during an intense and emotional performance, evoking a powerful message about the dual nature of humour as a means of both defence and liberation.

A proper representation of something we all do at some point in our lives and that most of the time we can’t quite get out of. Well, at least in this case we can’t get away of a very catchy sort of pop sort of funky song. So life is good!
