The Landing – This Way

The Landing's latest is what pop should sound like!

Jon Bell’s moniker The Landing embarks on a quest to transform the journey of discovering one’s place in the vast Universe into an uplifting anthem. With a background in classical music and a passion for astronomy, blends symphonic synthesizer arrangements with profound reflections influenced by a cosmic viewpoint. Online, The Landing‘s music has garnered remarkable acclaim, accumulating over 5 million streams. Recognised as a “Top New Artist” on Apple Music twice and endorsed by Spotify’s editorial team through placements on the Indie Pop Lounge and Fresh Pop playlists, The Landing‘s music videos have also received prominent exposure on YouTube’s official channel. This online triumph has paved the way for numerous nationwide tours and performances at renowned festivals such as SXSW, School Night NY & LA, CMJ, Northside, and more.

About “This Way“, the first single off the upcoming “Beautiful Human, Beautifully Human“, the Washington-based artist told us: “The original idea for “This Way” was inspired by a song called Bonnie Hill by Jungle; not the musical content per se but the energy it conveyed. I think I failed at recreating the same vibe, and in doing so succeeded in creating something entirely new (the 5 sec intro however is a nod to Patti Page’s With My Eyes Wide Open, I’m Dreaming). The lyrics of This Way speak of the inevitability of the present moment, that the Universe always unfolded just so, in just this way, to arrive here, at now. Wow!
