juno roome is a Brooklyn-based artist, born in South Korea and a lot to give. In the US since the age of 10, his upbringing wasn’t always easy and probably that’s the main source of his talent. With a dreamy approach to music, his falsetto vocals, jangle, soft guitar tone and relatable song-writing skills, juno is on his way to claim his place on the NYC indie scene.
On his latest piece, “the way you looked“, this Dwayne Johnson’s fan sings the story about one night with his ex: juno is at his friend’s house, people are porch-vomiting, he and his ex are leaving early to watch “Jungle Cruise”… Despite the complex story, “the way you looked” is highly catchy and quite easy to fall in love to: maybe because of it’s sensible, subtle-pop form, maybe because the human-like, or friend-like feeling we get from listening to it. A must-listen for the fans of Connan Mockassin, Monsune or Men I Trust, juno just won a place on my ” We’re going to hear a lot from this guy” list!
