Brendan Brisk Band – Rubberneckin’

Rubberneckin' is pure sexy, trippy escapism!

The Brendan Brisk Band from Wilkes-Barre is experiencing a surge of momentum that shows no signs of slowing down. Following the release of their self-produced album Astral Counterfeit in 2016, frontman Brendan Brisk was determined to bring the lush, textured sound of their studio productions to the stage. He found willing collaborators in drummer Justin Malinowski, bassist Bernard Gavlick, and trumpeter Miles Orfanella. Together, they recorded the LP “Relaxylvania” in 2020 and the latest EP “Never Everywhere“, which showcase their ability to effortlessly transition from laid-back, atmospheric tunes to frenzied, extroverted tracks, and from earthly, personal themes to spectral, ethereal ones.

Now and between gigs, Brendan Brisk Band are sharing their latest single, “Rubberneckin’“, featuring a nocturnal groove punctuated by filtered guitar, sprayed horn and flute lines, and a slinky trippy bass. “Rubberneckin’” also features their classical jam formula, where they mix of soul, jazz, funk, R&B, psychedelia, and blues, driving the listener to a place of peace and flow, away from the everyday grind of obligation and ambition. A sexy, addictive track making me ask for more!
