Straight from Denver, Colorado, we present to you: bloodsports (or, in longer terms, Murphy, Jeremy Mock, Tommy Epling, and Hayden Bosch).
On the 27th of January, bloodsports put out their debut self-titled EP on Candlepin Records. It’s its lead single, “Sustain“, that brings us here to talk a bit about the indie rock quartet.
“Sustain” is a track rippled with a 90s indie rock aesthetic. Its slowcore, noisy guitar riffs, pulls influence from bands like Duster; its reverb atmosphere feels like a hazy dream pop tune, and Murphy’s vocals feel like a small heap of comfort amid the depressing atmosphere of the track. Apt for any zoomer looking to dive into 90s nostalgia. The EP is also quite good – you should check it out right here.
