Simitree – Joy Song

Simitree was able to create a very hypnotizing and engaging atmosphere that keeps us hooked beginning to end in "Joy Song".

Joy Song” is Simitree‘s latest advance and was released on January 11th. Combining styles and soundscapes we’re used to attributing to Son Lux, Massive Attack or even Neon Indian, Simitree was able to create a very hypnotizing and engaging atmosphere that keeps us hooked beginning to end in “Joy Song“.

This piece’s message is one I found myself completely aligned with. “Celebrate /
For you know nothing at all / For you have been wrong all along
” To learn to enjoy life without expecting nothing from it and understanding there’s more to life than what I can comprehend is one of my biggest lessons to learn in this lifetime, and I believe Simitree was able to express fully this sentiment in “Joy Song“.

Written while on a subway commute, “Joy Song” is Simitree’s mission statement, asking us to celebrate our larger ignorance of the true mechanics and meaning of our existence and the need to examine what we hold sacred.
