We already know that Australia has been delivering great new artists and bands lately, all of them with fresh and shaking sonorities, taking indie music to other levels. It seems to us that Melbourne’s singer-songwriter Daniel Trakell might be one of those shaking artists.
Presenting his newest single Come To, after an astonishing debut EP Paradise, pretty well received by critics, this new song is a fresh breeze, combining a soft and simple melody with his lovable voice Daniel appears more “happy” as Come To sounds more pop-ish than folky, with layers that resemble with Beck or Jens Lekman this is too easy to fall in love with.
Trakell has been expressing himself as a folk artist and composer in songs such as Let Me Be or Wisdom/Boredom which has already the instrumental arrangement that evokes what would sound in Come To.
