[PREMIERE] DJ Wei – Moonstruck (feat. Shingo Sekiguchi)

Looking for the perfect grooves to end a Friday?

Looking for the perfect Friday night chill? We got you covered! DJ Wei releases today his Moonstruck, a powerful and very entertaining song that has the right balance between smooth and groovy.

Dj Wei is very well known in the Malasyan scene, founder of label and doing his thing since 2006 he is been known for populating his sets with underground songs. Until recently he also started producing his tracks. In this track, recorded under the initiative of Origami PRODUCTIONS which have been featuring songs from their artists with musicians all around the world, he teams up with guitarist Shingo Sekiguchi. The result is like we’ve manifested earlier a very easy to listen and to groove along Moonstruck

From the start we can hear a nice balance between a guitar and bass-drum combo. Soon that balance is defied by some nice jazzy progressive evolution that without changing the main beat and melody gives the track just the necessary amount of spin to be possible to groove with it for a very long time. The catchy vocals that always sound like a nice choir are actually the main vocal element in the track, almost like they were expecting us to sing in the more vocal-empty moments. Not sure if intentional or not, but yeah, we did it all the time.
