2020 is lining up to be a monster year for WtMM fan-favorite Celeste.
Highlighted in our SXSW 2019: The Most Promising feature, the LA-born, Brighton, England raised and based Celeste wows with her R&B chops, a powerful, smokey voice, and passionate lyrics. So far this year, she has already claimed BBC Music’s Sound of 2020 Award and the Rising Star BRIT Award. In April, she’ll headline her own UK and European tour and, in September, she will release her full-length, self-titled album, Celeste.
While garnering awards last month, Celeste released a riveting new single Stop This Flame. A song about, in her words, “seeing it through to the end,” the track is driven hard by a propulsive, Nina Simone-Esque staccato piano chord progression and soars on Celeste’s anthemic chorus. It will add spice to your day and soul to your week. A total earworm.
