[PREMIERE] Bad Business – Turn It On (feat. Oh He Dead)

Ready to go out for a party? You're in Bad Business!

Bad Business Turn It On Premiere

Born in New York City, the trio Bad Business are said to be influenced by soft rock references such as Steely Dan and The Allman Brothers. Right there we suspected we were going to be presented with some very nice smooth soft rock vibes. But we did not suspect those vibes could be so catchy.

Turn It On, their debut single, features the indie soul of Oh He Dead and conceals some many good things into one song that we were overjoyed they were conceding us the honour to premiere it.

At first, we imediately though about Mayer Hawthorne. Those subtle soul and blues vibes are so well integrated into the rock vibe it sounds like a genre by its own. Then we unfooled ourselves on thinking that Turn It On would be a song to listen once. In fact, we’ve heard so many times the past 15 days we feel it is already part of us. No matter the circunstance, this is a song that always turns your spirits up and makes you feel like dancing (even in the office). A song that in one minute reminds us of a series theme song. The next brings us back to the old 70 meets 80 soul vibes of blues brothers. And in the next sounds modern, very singable and filled with summer vibes. In the end, this is probably the song we heard this year that most easily takes us out for a party.
