Ghostpoet is back and he’s taking an interesting direction. Trouble + Me is taken from his upcoming fourth album Dark Days & Canapés, produced by Leo Abrahams (out on August 18th). This single is a ballad driven by solemn guitar chords that illuminate the nebulous and personal character that surrounds the song composition.
Trouble + Me keeps the spotlight centered on his vocals, as per usual. I mean, with a sultry, deep tone like that, there’s no other way. But the novelty (perhaps not so novel when compared with Shedding Skin) is in the guitar and the way it, although subtle, finds its way to be indispensable.
We are very curious regarding Dark Days & Canapés. It is a collaboration with several musicians still undisclosed that will, for sure, contribute to a different sound.
