[TGIF] Two Bodies High on Words

These 6 songs haven't been in the world for 24 hours, but they feel like we've known them our whole lives.

Another Friday, another playlist. And this is a very special playlist. 6 songs, 6 artists. One thing in common. Can you guess? They all were released within the last 24 hours! Enjoy these brand new tunes:

Kan Wakan – No Line feat. SAÍGO

Out of Kan Wakan‘s forthcoming triple LP Phantasmagoria, No Line is Kan’s latest collaboration with SAÍGO. This single is just a few hours old and has already conquered a space in our daily lives. This is a chill electronic tune that oozes cool tribal inspiration. A nice start to the evening, are we right?

Rhodes – Sleep Is a Rose

I found an old cottage in the Lake District, spending many nights lying awake thinking about it all and this one came to me in all in one moment. I recorded it straight away because I wanted to capture that initial spark and the night-time mood. Sleep is a Rose is in this world for a couple of ours and is one of the most intimate moments 2017 has presented us with. Listening to this song feels like standing on the other side of Rhodes‘ bedroom door, listening to his deepest secrets. Not wanting to hear anymore so you don’t invade his privacy, but craving for more because you comprehend every word and emotion.

The Fontaines – Two Bodies

The Fontaines are back with a brand new tune. This single is called Two Bodies, it comes with a video and an introduction by Rodney Bingenheimer! How cool is that? Two Bodies is a another great track by these siblings that really uses their strengths. The focal point is Charlotte’s vocals and the song is held together by the strong guitar we’ve grown to expect from this duo.

Naaz – Words

Naaz‘s newest single left us in awe. It is very refreshing to hear a song and see a video that evokes beauty, inclusion and admiration in a very effortless way. Words is such a happy, upbeat song that really gets to you, your heart and your smile. It is impossible to not start immediately humming to the song. Words is taken from Naaz’s debut EP Bits of Naaz, a super diverse 4-track record produced by 18-year old Naaz herself, all starting in her bedroom.
I’m in love with your words / Will you show me the world? /Through your eyes ‘cuz you know / Just the way to put it on me

Oh Wonder – High on Humans

Oh Wonder might be getting High on Humans, we are getting high on their new single. A non-stop crescendo tune that makes you addicted from second one, as Oh Wonder do. We are fast approaching Ultralife release (album is out on July 14th) and we cannot wait.

London Grammar – Truth Is A Beautiful Thing

Dare we? We dare. We are highly recommending not one, not two, but 18 songs by London Grammar for you to listen this weekend. Truth Is A Beautiful Thing and so is this album. It is complete, a fully satisfying 1h 19 minutes long journey we wish it’d go on forever.

Have a nice weekend,
With Love,
