Meeting of the Day: Sirs&Madams – Four Letter Word

Four Letter Word goes from lighthearted to whimpered, passing through a rawer stage when the guitars take over the track, just like the story sung.

We have no shame on having some secret favorites of ours, and every time they put some new song out we know we are in for something sweet. Sirs & Madams is one of those cases of being seriously in love with a band whom is both raw honesty and docile warmth in every music they make.

After releasing Come Back To Me in early 2016, they’ve just put out a new single. Four Letter Word is a true indie folk with a little twist with the hushed, careful, delving vocals. Both voices match perfectly with each other, which actually enhances the sadness of the story sung. There’s an overall evolution of the mood going from lighthearted to whimpered, passing through a rougher stage when the guitars take over the track. Change and change (…) I can’t be the only one this way,  I keep wasting all of my breath. We’ve all been there… And they capture this lonely, heartbreaking empty feeling and turn it into a beautiful indie ballad. Well done, guys. You honestly made us shed a few tears.
