Out of nowhere, and since the first time we first put our ears on Multigold, we knew we could not be indifferent. The debut track of DIICE, a 3 strong UK-based band, clearly stands by itself and marks their entrance in this really crowded indie world with a very big bang. Everything about this mix of electronic and pop music it’s a no-brainier, the beginning with gentle electronic steps (somehow resembling SAFIA), the building up with the female vocalist super-melodic range (quite resembling of Jessie Ware or London Grammar), the big bass-paced entrance to the pre-chorus and finally the wrapping up with the contagious sexy cadence of the song’s nirvana. And when we though it was predictable, they turn it around for the last minute of the song. The more we listen to it, the more we feel embraced by it. We could sound repetitive, but there is not other way to put it, this is a very very strong premiere, which makes us really anxious for the new material “hoping to roll out before the summer kicks in”.
