New Secret: Alice Jemima – Liquorice

Liquorice is unlike anything Alice Jemima has done before. It's a very clever and utterly unique pop song.

It’s been 4 years since Alice Jemima‘s self-released debut EP. In between she kept teasing us with a couple of covers such as the amazing slowed-down Breezeblocks by Alt-J and No Diggity by Blackstreet. After this long, yet productive hiatus, there’s an EP due in June 17th entitled Liquorice. This single is the one that names the EP, and the first one out! Liquorice (the single) is unlike anything she’s done before. It’s a very clever and utterly unique pop song that immediately made us think of Madonna in Vogue in that spoken almost not sung register. Timeless.
