HANA has it all going for her, since going on tour with Grimes, Grimes asking HANA to perform one of her own songs during an opening slot for Lana Del Rey to Clay being featured on an episode of Girls. Lorde herself praised this track on Twitter, saying it was “too shimmering and beautiful for words”. Nice jump start right? To help this equation, HANA has a heavy choir background that transcends in her music with the complex compositions of scales, rhythms and layers after layers of ethereal instrumentals. This girl sure know how to make sweet pop-ballad tunes, and we can definitely hear influences of Grimes, CHROMATICS and maybe some similarities with Ghost Loft and Lapsey. HANA, the EP, is a heartaching journey beautifully sung with a celestial voice that we can’t get enough of.
Little Mess is a beautiful, consistent, indie rock inspired extended play, with some pinches of country. Jake's and Bela's vocals, both harsh and sweet on their own way, got us hooked like cats on catnip.
