On the 22nd of November, a new star was born. Louis III debuted himself with Fever Thoughts and we are over the moon excited about this one!
Louis III is a 23-year-old half St Lucian / half German singer-songwriter from Croydon, South London. This is his first introduction to the music industry and we are here for it. Louis III draws his influences from the culture clash of sounds he was exposed growing up; everything from his parents record collection (Bob Marley, Leonard Cohen, BB King and AC/DC to name a few) to credible beat driven pop he listens to (The XX, Frank Ocean, Kanye West, Major Lazer, and Drake) are areas he draws from to create his unique sound.
We truly loved the vibe of this single. The mix of contemporary RnB, cosmic hip-hop and its fair share of pop is a delicious combination. Fever Thoughts is addictive from the moment you starting playing it. There’s some crisp vocals that remind Ne-Yo, a cool vibe so distinctive of Drake and some serious rythmnship alike of SAFIA.
Fever Thoughts is a proper materialization of the that anxious buzzin’ that we feel down our spine. The constant variations the track suffers along its 3:21 minutes is the exact proof. At one point in time the single is upbeat and fast, and at the next everything drops as we get a super chill, cosmic, deep moment. And by the end everything mashes together creating layer after layer of pure genre bending goodness. Yes, this may be on of the best tracks of 2018.
