Bruno Major – On Our Own

On Our Own speaks of losing faith but having the strength to keep moving and making the most out of everything.

Bruno Major A Song For Every Moon On Our Own

This morning I was just browsing around the internet – as you do – and I came across the most wonderful, calming, magnetic voice singing to me against a few keys of a piano. That voice belongs to Bruno Major and I fell majorly in love with it.

Bruno is a North Londoner singer songwriter who writes emotive, intimate songs that will speak to your heart and soul. His album is called A Song for Every Moon and you might have guessed it already – he wrote a new song for every new moon. So, this album has been being released for a year now, as Bruno Major dropped a song every month. His style of singing and acoustic arrangement reminds us a lot of Ben Abraham, an artist well known for his heart warming, heart wrenching, intimate.

The last song of the album is On Our Own, which was dropped in the last day of August. This song speaks of losing faith but having the strength to keep moving and making the most out of everything.

[su_quote cite=”Bruno Major” url=”http://www.clashmusic.com/news/bruno-major-completes-a-song-for-every-moon-project”]I wrote this after a conversation with my mother when my Granny died. Her death sparked a personal journey through Agnosticism, Atheism and through the other side, and writing On Our Own helped me understand how I felt about existence and religion. I think this is the song that I am most proud of.[/su_quote]

She said He might just be a big story
But there’s more to life than truth
There’s hope my son in people’s faith
Gives them strength to pull through

What if the world is a hopeless place
We’re just scared to admit we’re alone
What if the world is a hopeless place
And we’re on our own
We’re on our own

This song is a powerful closure for all wounds and for the album. A Song For Every Moon is available at all platforms and we feel we must leave it here for you to enjoy (hopefully) as much as we have:
