Meeting of the Day: Tessa Rae – Dreamland

Presenting similarities with some of the best Lana Del Rey songs, Tessa Rae's new song, Dreamland, never urges to reach the climax and keeps us floating for its whole four minutes and a half.

Tessa Rae was our first ever New Secret when she released her first single: the addictive Seventeen. About 6 months have passed until, a couple of days ago, she released her second ever single, Dreamland. We were anxiously awaiting for this but at the same time some part of us doubted about her capability of delivering another great song (as happens so many times with so many new artists). Because of that (and because Seventeen is a favorite of ours at the same time as it keeps a special meaning) we could not help but to feel a huge amount of satisfaction when the first immersive beats of Dreamland started to play. Much calmer than the first single, this is pure class from Tessa Rae, a slow but vibrant distillation of quality and another yet addictive song. Presenting similarities with some of the best Lana Del Rey songs, this is a track that never urges to reach the climax and keeps us floating for its whole four minutes and a half. We’ve been playing it so many times we cannot longer precise, but her words “all the quiet people living quiet lives and not so quiet dreams” stays in our heads reaching all the right feelings, every single time. This is another solid one from Tessa.
