After a small pause on Where the Music Meets, we are back. And like ourselves Lucy Rose is also back. She released her second album in the end of 2015 but only now it is getting some very deserved attention. After the wonderful Like I Used To in 2012, she released Work It Out a very long record with 18 songs (deluxe edition). From this second album Nebraska is the third single to get a proper single (and video) after the simple but contagious Like an Arrow and the so very intimate and deep My Life (one of our favorite songs of the last year). What Nebraska has is that kind of roughness that characterizes singers like Daughter, Ben Howard or James Vincent McMorrow while keeps intact the unique quality of the girl who started as Bombay Bicycle Club back vocals. And above all, there is just something very sensitive about it that we cannot explain. From the first note until the very end. It ends where it starts, and when that happens we tend to hit the play button again.
Based on a deeper sense of hurry and determination, Amy Milner's Easier is the perfect start for the week.
